The Only Plastic That Should Enter the Surf this Summer!

The Only Plastic That Should Enter the Surf this Summer!

Back in 2017, Seaside Scavenge spent a Saturday cleaning Sydney’s Bondi Beach—removing over 31 kg of waste from the sand, plus another 10 kg collected by divers in Camp Cove. Since then, plastic consumption has grown by 11.5% each year. While Australia’s recycling rate has risen from 9.4% in 2018 to 12.6% in 2021, the reality is that much of our plastic waste still ends up in landfills or oceans.

At Dezinery, we see this challenge differently. We believe in a circular economy where plastic waste is not discarded, but transformed—through recycling and upcycling—into durable, eco-friendly, and sustainable products.

Introducing  Tyoub Swimwear: Turning Plastic Waste Into Fun in the Sun

Our latest drop features Tyoub Swimwear, an Australian brand that takes recycled plastic and turns it into stylish, functional beachwear. Their journey began with frustration over disposable swim nappies. The founder developed a reusable, adjustable swim nappy with double gussets and Velcro tabs—comfortable, leak-proof, and designed to grow with your child.

The range has since expanded to sustainable kids’ swimwear and accessories made from recycled polyester and rubber. With UPF50+ sun protection, OEKO-TEX certified fabrics, and long-lasting designs, Tyoub proves that plastic recycling can deliver high-quality products families love.

Why It Matters

Every Tyoub piece keeps plastic out of landfill and oceans, contributing to a cleaner, healthier planet. By choosing recycled and upcycled designs, you’re not only reducing waste but also supporting a circular economy that values materials for their potential, not just their past life.
