We are a sustainable concept store in Hutt St, Adelaide, with a grocery style set up of eco-conscious daily essentials made easier to access in a luxury vibe together with gifts and personal care, all curated for their values or ability to compost, recycle or reuse with an aim to eliminate landfill and increase soil production.

Our brands are predominately small businesses and charities with a big focus on supporting local. With this in mind we also collaborate with businesses to collect sustainable waste streams to develop our own in-house design collection which is growing as more collaborations evolve.

SSCS also provides a supply service to accommodation, offices, hospitality and general supply through a curated range of eco products required in the relevant sector.

Mother-Daughter Team Rachel and Dianne Mifsud founded the sustainable shop with a dream to provide a community driven hub of eco conscious products and like-minded people together under the one roof to share and connect over a common theme of Climate Change through a luxury, connected theme.

The name Something Special was driven from mother, Dianne’s ritual of bringing back ‘something special’ from the supermarket, firstly for her children and then for her dogs. With dogs a large part of our love and home life, Hutt Street and its dog friendly, leafy tree-lined street was a natural
place to reside.
