What is Dezinery?

Dezinery is Australia's first online marketplace dedicated to products made from recycled materials that are high-quality and well-designed. We curate a
collection of thoughtfully designed homewares and lifestyle products - many
made from recycled or sustainable materials - with a focus on durability,
function and environmental responsibility.

What makes Dezinery different from other online retailers?

We feature products made from recycled and reusable materials, ensuring every item
in our marketplace meets high standards for design, quality and environmental
responsibility.

What materials do you feature?

We specialise in products made from agricultural waste (including coffee husks),
industrial metal waste, recycled soft plastics, reusable plastics, rubber and
silicone, tyres, and textiles.

How does Dezinery choose the products it stocks?

We prioritise recycled materials -specially recycled plastic - to help strengthen Australia’s recycling systems and keep waste out of landfill.

But recycled content alone isn’t enough.

We assess each product for durability, material suitability, overall environmental impact, and how it compares to the conventional alternative it replaces.

If recycled plastic is the best option, we’ll stock it. If another material performs better, we choose that instead. For example, we avoid plastic spatulas due to heat stability concerns and prefer stainless steel, wood or silicone for longevity.

Our focus is simple: products that are fit for purpose, transparent in their materials, and genuinely better for the environment.

Orders & Purchasing

Do I need an account to shop?

Yes, you'll need to create an account to place orders. This allows you to track your
purchases and manage your order history.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Once an order is placed, contact us immediately at hello@dezinery.com.au if you need to make changes. We'll do our best to accommodate requests before the order is dispatched.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, PayPal, Shop Pay, Union Pay, and Visa.

What does “Sold Out” mean at Dezinery?

Often, it simply means our supplier is waiting on a new shipment.

Sometimes, however, products are listed as “Sold Out” while suppliers gauge interest or prepare for a production run. In these cases, customer demand helps determine whether the item is manufactured or restocked.

If you see something you love, click “Notify me when available” and add your email. We’ll let you know if it’s coming back - and your interest helps signal to us and our suppliers that it’s worth continuing to make or stock.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We generally ship within Australia. Your order will be fulfilled by trusted suppliers and delivered using reputable courier partners.

Do you offer international shipping?

Not as an automatic option. If you are outside Australia and would like a quote for international shipment, please contact us at hello@dezinery.com.au

Do you provide tracking?

Tracking is provided for all orders unless shipping is free. In some free‑shipping cases, tracking may still be available at the supplier’s discretion.

How much does shipping cost?

Delivery charges depend on your location, the supplier, and the product size/weight. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you finalise your order.

When will my order be dispatched?

Most orders are dispatched within 1-3 business days from the supplier. Custom or made‑to‑order products may take longer. We’ll notify you with tracking information once your order is dispatched

What if I’m not home when the delivery arrives?

You can choose delivery instructions at checkout (e.g. authority to leave in a safe spot). If you don’t opt in, a signature may be required. If no one is home, a card may be left with options for re‑delivery or pickup.

Can I change my delivery details after placing an order?

Yes, please contact us immediately at hello@dezinery.com.au. We'll do our best but changes after ordering may incur additional fees and could delay delivery.

What happens if my order doesn’t arrive?

If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us at hello@dezinery.com.au with your order number and we'll investigate.

Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy?

We have a 14‑day return policy. You can request a return within 14 days of receiving your order.

What items can I return?

We accept returns for items that meet the following criteria:

  • The item is damaged, defective, or not as described.
  • A return request is submitted within 14 days of delivery.
  • The item is in its original condition – unused, unwashed, and with all original packaging/tags intact.

Note: Custom or personalized items may not be eligible for return unless damaged or defective.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items:

  • Certain types of items cannot be returned, like:
  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants),
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalised items),
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products).
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
  • Sale items or gift cards.

How do I start a return?

Contact us at hello@dezinery.com.au within 14 days of delivery and we’ll send you instructions. Returns sent without prior approval cannot be accepted.

Who pays for return shipping?

  • Return shipping instructions will be provided upon approval.
  • In most cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was incorrect or
    faulty.
  • If the supplier provides a return address, items must be sent directly to the supplier.

What about damaged or incorrect orders?

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

When will I get my refund?

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hello@dezinery.com.au.

Can I exchange an item?

  • We currently do not offer direct exchanges.
  • If you need a different item or size, please return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order.

Are your products genuinely sustainable?

Yes. Every product on Dezinery is made from recycled or reusable materials. We
carefully vet our brands to ensure they meet our sustainability and quality standards.

How do I know what a product is made from?

Each product listing includes detailed information about the materials used,
including the recycled content where available.

You can also browse by material
type using our material collections.

What information is available on product pages?

Product pages include the product name, images, description, brand, materials
(including recycled content when available), price, availability, and our
sustainability rating.

Are the products safe for food use?

Many of our products are food-safe. Check individual product descriptions for specific
certifications and safety information.

Do products come with warranties?

Warranty information varies by brand and product. Specific warranty details can be found on individual product pages.

Are your products dishwasher/microwave safe?

Care instructions, including dishwasher and microwave safety, are provided on each product page. Always follow the manufacturer's care guidelines.

Gift shopping

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Can I send orders directly to a gift recipient?

Yes, you can enter a different delivery address at checkout.
