The tough-on-grime, soft-on-planet scrubber that rescues industrial "deadstock" from entering our landfills.

Best For:

  • Heavy-duty scrubbing on pots, pans, and stovetops.
  • Users looking for a quick-drying, "no-smell"
    alternative to cotton.
  • Preventing high-quality textile waste from being discarded.
  • Long-lasting durability in high-traffic kitchens.

Meet the heavy-duty hero of the zero-waste kitchen. Our Upcycled Acrylic Scrubbing Cloths are designed for those who need a bit more "muscle" in their cleaning routine without the environmental guilt. Crafted from 100% acrylic mill ends - high-quality yarn scraps salvaged from textile manufacturing - these cloths turn industrial waste into your new favourite cleaning tool.

Unlike traditional sponges that crumble and end up in the bin within weeks, these hand-knitted scrubbers are built to last. The inherent durability of acrylic makes it a powerhouse for lifting stubborn grime and grease, while its quick-drying nature ensures your kitchen stays fresh and odour-free.

  • Landfill Rescue: Made exclusively from mill ends - the leftover "tails" of large-scale yarn production that would otherwise be trashed.
  • Superior Scrubbing Power: The textured acrylic fiber provides the perfect amount of friction to lift burnt-on food without scratching.
  • Anti-Odor & Quick Dry: Synthetic fibers hold less moisture than natural ones, meaning they dry faster and don't develop that "sour sponge" smell.
  • Stain Resistant: Acrylic is naturally resistant to staining, keeping your cloths looking vibrant and clean for longer.
  • Zero New Plastic: We aren't creating new synthetics; we are giving existing ones a second, much longer life.

Creating "new" plastic is a problem, but discarded plastic is a tragedy. By choosing our Upcycled Acrylic cloths, you are supporting a circular economy. These mill ends represent high-quality material that was deemed "too small" for commercial machines but is perfect for our hand-knitted process.

Beyond the eco-credentials, these cloths outperform traditional sponges. They offer the scrubbing power of a scouring pad but with the softness of a cloth, making them safe for non-stick surfaces, glass, and stainless steel. It’s a practical, colorful way to keep industrial waste out of the earth while keeping your home sparkling.

What are "mill ends"?

Mill ends are the leftover remnants from large yarn spinning mills. When a factory finishes a large run, there is often a significant amount of high-quality yarn left over that is too small for their machines to use. We "rescue" these ends and knit them into something useful.

Will it scratch my non-stick pans?

No. While acrylic is tough on food residue, it is a non-abrasive fibre. It is perfectly safe for non-stick coatings, ceramic cooktops, and delicate glassware.

Does it get "smelly" like a sponge?

One of the biggest perks of acrylic is that it is hydrophobic (it doesn't like to hold onto water). Because it dries so much faster than cotton or foam sponges, it is far less likely to harbor the bacteria that cause kitchen odours.

How do I clean my upcycled cloth?

Simply toss it in the washing machine with your regular load. We recommend using a laundry bag to capture any microfibers and air drying (which happens very quickly!) to maximize the life of the rescued fibres.
